The Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK) is a national umbrella body that brings together stakeholders in the geothermal sector in Kenya for a common goal. The Association was registered in Kenya by the Registrar of Societies in 2010 to encourage, facilitate and promote coordination of activities related to local and worldwide research, development, and application of geothermal resources. It is a non-political, non-governmental and non-profit organization.

The Geothermal Association of Kenya is an affiliate member of the International Geothermal Association (IGA).

Our Vision – To be the fulcrum that catalyzes geothermal sector growth in Kenya and the region.

Our Mission  – To be the representative voice of the geothermal sector that promotes successful investments, develops professionals, and facilitates research, collaborations, and innovations to enhance productivity and sustainability.
