The project will be an extension of the 140MW Olkaria I Unit 4 and 5 that was recently completed and commissioned. The President noted that the only way the country will achieve the #Big4Agenda, is if there is adequate supply of electricity to all sectors.

As an enabler for the BIG 4 agenda, reliable, renewable and affordable energy is crucial to ensure successful delivery of all the pillars.
Geothermal is now Kenya’s base load as it is not affected by vagaries of weather and is an affordable source of energy.
