Mr. Cyrus Karingithi, Secretary

Mr. Cyrus is the current Secretary of the Geothermal Association of Kenya. He is also the Assistant Manager, Resource Development and Infrastructure at the Kenya Electricity Generating Company, KenGen.

Mr. Cyrus has 30 years experience in management and co-ordination of geothermal resource development activities. These activities are related to geothermal research, resource development and utilization, consultancy services and human resource management and development.

In 2002, he graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Geology from University of Iceland. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, Post Graduate Diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a United Nations University Fellowship in the chemistry of thermal fluids.

Over the years, he has published widely on geothermal related topics.

Mr. Cyrus is a member of the Strategy and Membership & Legal Affairs and Nominating Committees at the GAK.
